Human resources strategy is the art of planning what the employee is most and least capable of, and organizes work to fit the qualities and limitation of this specific resource, namely the person at work. Managers may see employees as a resource comparable to other resources like buildings and machines except for the fact that they are human.
The employee strategy function is seen as the people part of a business. This function has grown from personnel management, which was mainly an administration activity to a full strategic function. The human resource function today in many organizations covers a wide number of activities for example man power and succession planning.
One of the most vital areas in managing assets and leading teams effectively lies in knowing how to get people to give of their best. What motivates people is seeing along with the impact on teams and the business if people are demotivated. The types of industrial relations processes are namely joint consultation, collective bargaining and conflict management.
The business plan will carry out with its implications in terms of individual behavior and attitudes as well as corporate behavior and culture. An integrated employee resource plan will identify what changes need to be made to each of the systems impacting on behavior in order to bring out the overall change required by the business plan. It is also necessary to ensure that all systems carry congruent messages in order to avoid or minimize resistance to change.
A search can then be made to locate available experts which can be accompanied by an internal advertising process. The requirement for external resourcing can be met by developing a hiring plan. The aims of the plan would be first to make the organization the employer of choice in its particular field or the people it wants to resource.
The role of the human resources strategy specialist is to provide line management with the help support and guidance necessary to enable them to fulfill their responsibilities. They are responsible for working with senior management to develop the organization.The specialist is responsible for working with line management to develop policies and practices, which will enable the strategic goals to be achieved.
