Hunters are a soloing class that can dish out some extremely fast leveling speeds. This, along with their other trademark capabilities such as calling on their tanking pet minions, make them a really powerful class. In this Hunter PVP guide, you will learn the ropes of handling a hunter that fights head to head with other players.
Making That Change From PvE To PvP After killing enough mobs, humanoids and monsters in Warcraft, you can test your acquired skills and talents by going head to head against actual players in the PvP Arena.
Below are a few tips:
Work Solo Or With Groups As a PvPer, you'll do fine on both solo and group PvP. You'll prove your worth as a PvPer though if you're going solo. This is not to say, however, that you're not a good team player. Of course. You can, in fact, contribute well to a group, but since you can hold your own in any PvP battle, you can work on your own.
To Melee Or Not To Melee Now, if you're going head to head against other players, it is best to keep your distance. You are not a melee class that can simply wade into the battle and hurl your opponents to their deaths. No, you're not made for that. Just leave melee fights to classes that are good in that and instead deal damage from within your range. But you should never run away from a melee fight if there's no real need for it. You see, when your back is against the wall, you'll do fine attacking your opponent at melee range and letting your pet do the tanking for you.
Always Preserve Your Pet's Loyalty And Happiness Whether you're playing PvP or PvE, you should prioritize the Happiness and Loyalty of your pet. Both have direct affect on the ability of you rpet minion to dish out attacks. It is not really clear how these affect your minion, except that very low levels of happiness and loyalty may force your pet to leave you or perform below its maximum capacity.
Also, don't forget feeding your pet. Feeding is important in keeping its performance at its best.
Get up talents suitable for PvP Now here comes the tricky part: If your character is not specced for PvP, you might want to tweak its talents to become more suitable for the PvP Arena. You won't be having problems if you're already rolling a Beast Mastery Hunter. Otherwise, you might consider unlearning a few of your current talents and invest some on this tree. Doing this will help you create a minion that's geared for PvPing.
Your Hunter PVP will also benefit from picking a few talents from the Marksmanship tree to enhance its bow or rifle.
