There are many occasions in WoW when you may need to level a character as fast as possible. Maybe you've already got a character or 2 at level 80 and you want to quickly get another one to that level, or perhaps you've convinced a friend or family member to start playing and they need to level their character quickly to catch up. Either way, moving quickly through the levels is the goal. This guide will give you a few pointers as to how you can power level more effectively.
Questing
One of the things that you will absolutely need to do in order to level quickly is questing. Do as many as you can. I recommend you fill your log book with quests and then go away and finish those quests.
The secret that make questing so much more efficient is to use an add-on that places a directional arrow at the base of your screen. At the end of this email I've included a link to a place you can download your own arrow add-on.
Efficiency
In order to be most efficient with your time you need to combine questing with grinding. If you kill your way to and from quests you'll not only add massively to your experience, but you'll also add to your bank balance. Killing your way to and from quests also saves a heap of time in the long run.
Quest in Groups
At low levels group quests often take up a lot of time. You'll sometimes find yourself waiting for other players to show up which is really annoying. If you don't have a high level friend then I suggest avoiding group quests while at low levels.
Quest Levels and Playing Zones
If you find that quests in one zone are causing you some difficulty, its sometimes a good idea to leave the zone and do some easier quests. You can always return to do the quests that were troubling you later if you want to once you've upped your level a little.
Resting and Relaxing
When you are going to leave the game always log out in an inn or capital city. When you log out in these places you build up rested experience. Believe me you will love the 200% experience that you will have for awhile when you get back.
If you use these simple basic rules of power leveling you will find that the levels fly by much faster than you would have thought.
