* Hybrid - An engine that is labeled as "hybrid" works by using two separate power sources, in most cases a gas engine and a re-chargeable electric motor. When moving slowly the electric motor kicks in and saves on CO2 emissions and gas, then when you need more power the petrol engine takes over.

* RPM or Revolutions Per Minute - Your car's RPM reading tells you how hard the engine has to work within the current speed or gear. The driver can be sure that their engine is working harder when it is at a higher amount of REVs.

The Cruise Control: This operational tool is what automatically regulates speed during use.

17) TDI - FSI, these stand for Turbo Direct Injection and Fuel Stratified Injection and refer to methods in which fuel is injected into the engine. TDI refers to diesel engines while FSI refers to petrol.

18) Climate Control, this is where you adjust the air con, heating and ventilation.

* Sports Suspension - This helps to improve your car's handling, particularly in sporty or off-road terrain.
