What You Should Never Do In StumbleUpon.

Is very important and useful if you have a website to use the social bookmarking sites, like Stumble Upon. So, what is more important is: do not get your account cancelled! A lot of users get banned from those social media just because they did not read trough the terms and conditions, or my articles. :)
There are many mistakes committed by the users of social bookmarking website and one of the common mistake is they don't fill the profile page. It is very necessary to fill the profile page as this page acts as a window towards outside world. You can use your nick name instead of your real name if you don't like providing it in the social media. Apart from that all the users are also requested to fill some details in the profile page especially against the interest column.
One of the most popular mistake, in my opinion users do in all the social network, and not only in stumble upon is that they don't write anything in their section (or profile). If you don't fill like to write in your real name at least use a nice nick, not something like "a27842", and fill in some some info like what you like and what you do.
When you send links to your friends please write a comment into it, it is horrible to receive a message (link) were you don't read a little comment about the link you have received. If you don't fill like writing at least copy and paste a little piece of the content you are sending.
You may get many friend request in social bookmarking websites just like in many social networking sites. You should also sent friend request to many especially to those whom you feel are having same interest like you after checking with their posts. The number of friends indicates your visibility in the website.
You are strongly advised not to sent any spam. If you sent any spam and are detected by your friends group, then all your links and contents will be tagged as spam and you will not be able to derive any benefit in using social bookmarking websites
Do not add a lot of friend and send them spam comment, in a social network this is one of the worst think you can do. And if think about, will you ever follow somebody that has 2000 friends but almost nobody is following him back? I believe not, so just don't do it, it's better for everyone.
You should always have a strong mind to dig for new articles rather than depending on the articles that are already present. This indicates that social bookmarking websites will not encourage recycling of articles.
Stumble upon is very serious in not allowing self promotion. If they find you are focusing only on your article, it will get automatically banned. You are expected to check with others post and comment on them too
Finally before winding up i would like to advise you to put a picture of yourself on the profile page of stumple upon. If you don't like to revel your picture you can definitely put one using sunglasses or hat so that you will not be recognized that easily.
Have fun!
