Getting Your Business Out Into The Public Eye During The Holidays
Go to: Previous Article Next Article
The holidays are a wonderful time of year for new businesses. It is an opportunity to showcase your business in many forums and help draw attention to your business and increase public awareness. There are many community events that you can have your company participate in that are free or relatively inexpensive and can help you achieve just that.
Unlike a tradeshow, it needs to be realized that you are not attending community events as a place to sell your business. This is a more subtle way of helping to boost business and you should not have your employees using a sales pitch to the children in your community while participating in a Halloween or Christmastime event. This is intended to be a fun event and while you will want to have your business name and logo on display and use some logo imprinted products you do not want to plan to sell at this type of community function.
These functions are designed for fun and your participation in this event must be holiday oriented. Doing this will allow more people to be exposed to your corporate message without you saying a word. Let your logo do the talking. This is not the time to sell your business, but a time to participate in your community and as such it is a time for everything to be friendly and playful. Do not get carried away with thinking that this is a business building activity.
Handing out candy with your company logo is a fun and inexpensive way to get the attention of those around you, and you will see that it is a good way to distribute your logo to everyone who you come into contact with. Promotional flashlights and toothbrushes are fun items that work well when participating in a Halloween event, and of course promotional toys and tape dispensers work very well around the holidays too.
Enjoying the holiday season is important and these events can be a fun way for employees to get out there and display the logo of your business while having a good time. These events are also a great way to improve morale and a great way to spread the word about your business. Do not bypass these community events, since they are an opportunity to put your business on the map while showing your community spirit to everyone.
