You can find a lot of good guitar teachers far and wide, who'll be able to teach you your kind of guitar music. But the best way to learn all the basics is by finding someone who specializes in a certain style of guitar playing. Also take note that as your lessons progress, and you start to find yourself not being able to understand or follow through, and you're also not getting a very clear explanation of the concepts, then it's best that you to start looking for another teacher. You should remember that it takes a lot to be a great player, to become a great teacher.
So don't be caught unaware of guitar players who say that they can teach you some guitar techniques (just because they've made a big impression out of their amazing tunes). Sure they can play those cool notes, but can they actually give you an explanation on how a C chord is different from a D chord? You might meet these kinds of people throughout your search so it's always a good idea to inquire all the time. A suitable guitar teacher for you should be able to communicate well and should also share your interests. Bringing these nice characters all together will definitely be beneficial to you.
