With every international sport there is to mention, there has to be some sort of body or federation to see to legal matters. The international sports massage federation does this too, to ensure the legal safety standards of the sportsperson who require their services.

Just because it is to do with massage, does not mean that there does not need to be an international sports massage federation. Massage is an important part of the health and well being of every sportsperson out there competing internationally. The therapists doing the work have to also study to know what and how to treat the injured on the sports fields, and therefore can be held accountable for administering the wrong treatment.
For those sporting groups that do not comply with the international sports massage federation, heavy penalties can be applied to them, or they may be told they are not allowed to compete. The international sports massage federation also has a say of who does play and also what rules and regulations have to be adhered to for the safety of those playing the games.
By adhering to the rules and regulations from the variety of institutes and federations, including the international sports massage federation, a higher quality of game is expected, and those not adhering instantly banned or barred from entering. Random drug testing is also just one of the international sports massage federation rules.
The Importance Of Rules And Regulations
It is important for the sports world also to have high standards, rules and regulations, as by not having them allows all the drug laws to be broken besides other things. The teams would also be playing underhandedly and betting between them selves, or even that the games could be fixed on who would be winning or losing in a season for the sake of money and other reasons such as rankings.
It's not about the fact that everything has to be controlled, it is about if it is not, things would be getting out of hand and rules and regulations of the games would be non existent, and all sports players would be doing their own things as they please. Even though some games such as rugby would seem more barbaric without rules and regulations, as this is just one game which has a high level of major injuries to the players, and without the rules and regulations a lot more players could land up with life altering injuries, if not death.
