There is no better way to keep relationships to last longer than to have an open communication. This is an open key and one that everybody knows by now. There isn't any magic formula needed, all you have to do is to be able to relate your feelings towards your significant other.
Almost all of the relationships first couple of weeks are all sweetness. This is the aspect where you both are still trying to figure out each other, and are still very much in-love with each other or in the idea of being in-love. However what if the flame dies as soon as it started? Problems will quickly come in then.
You should communicate more often if you want to keep your relationship last longer. Before you really get serious with your partner, state that you want them to be able to tell you everything. As in tell you everything that no secrets should be kept between the two of you. This way, when something occurs, like a misunderstanding or anything to that effect, you will be able to both tell each other what is bothering you or your partner.
If you exercise an open conversation with each other, then no problem will ever be able to tear you both apart. Knowing virtually any given situation is another key to long lasting relationships.
You have to know that it basically takes two to tango. And that if given a chance, you must be able to give back to your partner and not just always be the one to take from your significant other.
Resilient relationships holds out on open communication and also understanding. You must not allow jealousy prevail in your relationship. Yes, it's okay to feel inferior about the ex of your significant other, but if its going to ruin your relationship with your partner, then it is another story. In the beginning, your lover could be prepared to forgive, but if you keep on doing it to your partner, there will be a point in your relationship wherein your partner will feel that you are suffocating them.
And so, if you'd like your relationship to last, you must be able to communicate, understand and avoid jealousy as much as possible.
