Almost immediately, he begins to hallucinate. As you can guess, there are plenty of amusing things that ensue, whether it's Radon as a pimp fortune teller, Thad as an apparent stand-up comic, or his future wife Stacy Keibler and their misbehaved kids. The majority of the episode gives the writers an excuse to bend reality (and sense), and they exploit that to the fullest and most inappropriate. (Hey, even The Simpsons had the medicine woman Homer referred to as "boob lady.")
He really has no clue what's going on through most of this episode, and it's great fun to watch him basically out of control. In fact, this entire episode is pretty much out of control, considering it's mostly one long drug trip. Not only is this episode of Blue Mountain State nonsensically hilarious, it also just might serve as a great PSA on the dangers of doing drugs. Now that's multitasking. Obviously, no one at Blue Mountain State ever saw the Simpsons episode "Homer Goes To College," or they'd know that nothing good ever comes of messing with a school's mascot. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if any of them had set fire to their high school diploma when they got accepted to college in the first place. We've established they don't have the best judgment. BMS is gearing up for revenge against Overland, the team that gutted them in last year's Cypress Bowl (also known as the end of last season). The rivalry is out of control from the start. Thad and Radon embarrass themselves on the radio, after which Alex has to stop a crazed Overland student from trying to chop off Radon's arm, and as if that wasn't enough, Thad kidnaps Overland's mascot, the titular badger, which then escapes and goes on a rampage of its own.
Thad Castle (Alan Ritchson): A junior linebacker/team captain from Connecticut. Despite his status as a two time consensus All-American and team record holder for most tackles in a game (a game which he was subsequently ejected from for calling referees "butt faces "), Thad is largely hated by his teammates for his bullying and high strung antics when things do not go his way. However, he still has great respect for his team and understands what it takes to be a leader in desperate situations, like in the episode "Ransom". His father died in the military while stationed in Bosnia, where he had an affair resulting in Thad's attractive half-sister, Alma, who he is overly protective of.
Radon Randell (Page Kennedy) (Starring Season 2) : Radon is the new freshman starting quarterback from Detroit, Michigan whose talent is matched only by his outrageous behavior and huge ego. He apparently served time in prison. Craig Shilo (Sam Jones III) (Starring Season 1) : Last year's National High School Player of the Year, Craig Shilo was the team's star freshman player.
Although I think this may be the most disgusting episode of BMS that I've seen yet (I am amused that there was a warning for sex that didn't actually happen, but no one though to mention anything about dead animals or their body parts), once you put that part aside, this is an episode that's trying to make a point about leadership, in a warped way. Thad is trying too hard to be a leader, and Radon's not trying hard enough. Both those approaches cause problems, whether it's making an idiot of yourself or causing a wild animal to get loose on your college campus. Yet it's better to try too hard than not enough; at least you're trying. We're going to need another goat, though.
The accuser claims she has received a barrage of harassing messages from Kennedy via text message, Twitter, iChat and BlackBerry Messenger. Talk about persistent! Kennedy, who denies wrongdoing, was fired from Desperate Housewives in 2005 after alleged sexual misconduct. His character remained on DH, but was replaced with a different actor a la Victoria in Eclipse, which is always awkward. Dude also played U-Turn on Weeds. That was just hilarious.
