The signing of the Ontario Forest Accord in 1999 has been a breakthrough in terms of advancement for the forestry neighborhood in Northern Ontario. An effort has thus been made by the government, the forestry communities, and the environmental community to comprehend each other's problems and come up with effective solutions together.
